2 1 THE 2025 GLOBE Strengthening executive strategy and professional cohesion S ection XI Korea held an Executive Workshop on Aug. 10, 2025, in Songdo to establish long-term organiza- tional goals. The session featured a lecture by Prof. Sungwon Park on 3D printing in dentistry, providing insights into emerging technologies. Participants engaged in struc- tured discussions regarding financial stabilization, member recruitment and the incorporation of dental academies. Be- yond strategic planning, the Section maintains momentum through monthly meetings held every second Tuesday. With an average attendance of 30 members, these gather- ings prioritize inclusivity by introducing newly inducted Fellows. Lectures from dental and interdisciplinary fields enrich intellectual perspectives, consistently strengthening the professional fellowship of the Korea Section while re- inforcing cohesion among members through a significant catalyst for infrastructure growth. Expanding fellowship and clinical expertise in the AI era On May 18, 2025, the Section hosted its first major in- duction ceremony of the year at the Hotel Silla in Seoul. The event featured esteemed members, including lead- ing professors and academic society presidents, who wel- comed six new Fellows. Reflecting a strong commitment to professional education and clinical growth in the era of artificial intelligence, the Section paired the ceremony with its ongoing monthly academic programming. The program addressed the future of Korean dentistry, featur- ing a diverse lecture series that spanned dental seminars alongside interdisciplinary presentations on real estate trends, photography and the humanities. These presen- tations provided attendees with predictable strategies for navigating a modern clinical landscape while fostering the exchange of advanced knowledge. Moving forward, the Section will build on these initiatives by launching an an- nual academic symposium and finalizing its transition to an officially incorporated association, further solidifying its clinical and operational footprint. Commitment to public dental health In alignment with its social responsibility, Section XI oper- ates a dedicated clinic within the Yujawon Nursing Home. Fellows provide volunteer services free of charge on the sec- ond and fourth Thursday mornings each month, delivering comprehensive care to approximately 160 elderly residents. Many patients require specialized manage- ment for stroke or dementia-related oral conditions. To address these complex needs, volunteers manage oral inflammatory con- ditions and perform essential maintenance for prosthetic and denture hygiene.
