Finally, on behalf of all Fellows of the Philippines Section, I would like to send our felicitations and best wishes to Fellows around the globe as we honor the world’s lead- ing dentists and look forward to cel- ebrate our centennial year. The Philippines Section 51st Annual Convocation and Banquet was held last January 28, 2018, at Manila Polo Club. Honorable Geraldine B. Roman, Representative of the first district of Bataan, was the Inducting Officer and Keynote Speaker. High- lights of the event were the investi- ture of new Fellows and conferment of Life Membership to Fellows Luis T he Philippines Section has a long history of humanitarian service that brought many impressive projects through the years. Continuity of these programs wouldn’t be possible without the empowered men and women Fellows of the Section, whose hearts are dedicated to improving the quality of life of our countrymen. Heading on to the Section’s 52nd year, we vow to continue to serve Filipino communities, help them improve their oral health and address their total well-being. With the five College Core Values, namely: Leadership, Recognition, Humanitarianism, Professional Re- lations and Education, I am confi- dent that all ICD Fellows from our Section, achievers and leaders in their own fields, will find it both a F. Orosa and Lydia B. Orosa. The set of Officers for 2018 headed by the President, Fellow Liza C. Cen- teno, were then inducted. With the guiding theme “New Beginnings”, the new leadership that will usher and mark the dawn of the century for Section IX. The Section’s First Quarter Meet- ing was held at the Legend Restau- rant May 5, 2018. President Cen- teno challenged ICD Fellows to live up to the honor and recognition that Fellows are known for. To embody the Section’s theme of new begin- nings, members are expected to step up and push themselves to be a part of the movement for change.
