City-State Regency In February 2018, in Huichapan, ICD and CADENA provided blan- kets and dental care, dental check- ups and preventive education, su- pervised by Dr. Marcos Sando. On February 28, a business meeting was held to present proj- ects with these organizations: • CADENA ASSOCIATION: Partici- pating in dental care brigades in low income communities. • GOOD SHEPHERD DISPENSARY: Covering different medical, nutri- tional and dental needs. • CENACULO DE GUADALUPE: Shelter for homeless children. All residents are given full dental and preventive care. • AMDEM FOUNDATION: Treating oral problems of children suffering from Ectodermal Dysplasia. President’s Greeting José Angel Sifuentes A t the present time, our Sec- tion has 122 Active Fellows, three Masters and two Hon- orary Fellows. Since the beginning of this board, we have focused on plan- ning and development of activities at all regencies. On the following lines, we will report their activities. Projects Video Southern Regency Angel Sifuentes worked through the state of Yucatan with Regent Rolando Peniche and his Fellows, the health center was visited, where ICD has a dental office to serve the low-income population. The 6th International Dental Bri- gade, with the support of “Fun- dación Odontologia Social”, Luis Section III MEXICO The Mexican Section embodies humanitarianism through local collaboration with dental organizations, universities and students. • REBECA LAM FOUNDATION: Dental care for children and their mothers who are in prison. In April, Drs. Marcos Sando and Jorge Fernando Pérez Rueda, with CADENA, charted and reappointed treatment for 58 patients at Cuaute- pec. Northeast Regency On February 24, dental care was done at San Juan Cadereyta, N.L, together with the Dental Associa- tion of Guadalupe and the company VAMASA, who provided the equip- ment and supplies. Seventy-three patients were treated, and 155 treatments were performed. In March, dental service was given at Cuatrociénegas Coahuila for six days. Fellows worked jointly with members from the Dental As- sociation of Guadalupe NL and the help of VAMASA. This company provided a modern mobile unit with high technology and four operato- ries. 532 patients were treated.
