College Governance he College Executive Committee (EC) plays an active role regarding theadministrativepracticesof the Sections andRegions. Fortunately, most ICD governing bodies are doing things well! However,this yearit becamenecessary toreorganize one of theICD Sections and to question the administrative practices of others. Furthermore, the International Council has established new requirements regarding the number of Active Fellows required for ICD Sections, and time is moving quickly regarding the Sections’ obligations to meet these requirements set by the Council in 2013. Increasing the involvement of the International Council in the administrative practices of the Sections can result in a more successful worldwide College. Presidential Activism he Executive Committee held one face-to-face meeting and three teleconferences under the direction of President Dowell, in 2016. his schedule exceeds that of previous years. Together with President Dowell’s travel schedule, 2016 was a year to remember in regards to College activism, visibility, and accomplishment. Congratulations and thank you, Phillip. International Goodwill in New York As Secretary General, I organized an international convocation on November 27, 2016 in New York City during the Greater New OLLEGE LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES The year 2016 was a remarkable time of development and continued progress for the College. Historical convocations occurred in several areas of the world where ICD has never existed before. ICD educational programs were successfully organized, and ground-breaking decisions were made by the International Council members. Year 2016 was undoubtedly a year to remember. College Oice Team Expands Customarily, the College Oice has relied on mostly ICD volunteer staf members to help manage its afairs. hese primarily have been members of the International Council or former oicers, who increase their level of participation beyond what is traditionally expected. Assigned the titles of ICD Directors, Managers and Liaisons, these individuals are authorized to oicially represent the College regarding matters in their speciied areas of responsibility. herefore, the College Oice welcomed Phillip Dowell as the new Director of Development, and Christine Benoit as the new College Programs Manager. Garry Lunn continues to assume his duties as Facebook Manager.
