I feel very excited to write this brief greeting because I am able to address all the Fellows who, everyday, have the solicitude to carry out our motto in the opportunity to serve and work for the improvement and extension of our principles. We’d like to emphasize the fraternal spirit that prevails in all of our countries that are part of Section IV, and we hope every District does everything within its power to overcome their local issues. In this opportunity, we are glad to deinitely incorporate Colombia into ICD, ater many years of wishing that this country would become a District of Section IV. he annnual work of each District President of Section IV, along with their collaborators, must be emphasized because they are constantly working in oral health education and the continuous education of odontologic specialties. In this ield, we distinguish our 2nd Section IV International Congress of Odontology, which is to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2017. Projects of South American Section Argentina District Social projects were carried out by Fellows of the Argentina District in order to get the oral education closer to the community in four institutions located in deprived areas. Brazil District he ICD Brazil District’s Prevention program consists of the diagnosis and treatment of patients who sufer from chronic kidney failure and transplant patients. Brazil District’s Oral pathology program was created to investigate anomalies in the oral mucous membrane. heir Treatment Program examines children with multiple syndromes, including brain paralysis. Chile District Diferent academic conferences were held, mainly for the Chile District Fellows, but also for other colleagues involved in various dental and social industries. he objective of these conferences was to upgrade Fellows and promote the sharing of opinions and knowledge difusion in diferent health and academic national institutions, ultimately increasing the levels of oral health and quality of life for the Chilean people. Ater each conference, a fellowship dinner was held to allow attendees to share experiences and visions of these themes and other topics of national interest. Colombia District he Colombian District participated in a Prevention Dental Support Program at the Special Olympics. hey executed two projects about oral health and invited the Colombian Public Health Ministry. Paraguay District Preventive Program, with the National University of Asuncion, focused on beginning treatments at schools for persons with diiculties.
