ICD Delivers Life-Changing Care and Education to Underserved Communities

The team conducted a comprehensive oral health event in Pulau Kelapa, Kepulauan Seribu Regency, DKI Jakarta, serving over 10,000 people with limited healthcare access.

The initiative successfully educated approximately 9,000 individuals through dental health education sessions and a mass toothbrushing program, examined around 7,500 people, and provided treatment and dental services to 6,336 individuals.

The project, which focused particularly on children and pregnant women, distributed a 2–3-month supply of vitamins to prevent stunting and provided a 23-month supply of dental medicine to local healthcare providers.

This substantial effort was made possible through partnerships with the Persatuan Dokter Gigi Indonesia, Henry Schein Cares, Formula and the local government, with support from 21 Fellows, five national dentists, and five dental students.
