ICD Announces Strategic Partnership with Colgate-Palmolive to Advance Global Oral Health

The International College of Dentists is excited to announce a new partnership with Colgate-Palmolive, a caring, innovative growth company that is reimagining a healthier future for all people, their pets and our planet. This work supports the College’s Building a Legacy of Impact campaign and showcases that global oral health can only advance when expertise, innovation and community leadership are aligned with purpose.

With Colgate-Palmolive’s support, the ICD will expand the work of its two major initiatives— its Global Oral Health Leadership Institute (GOHLI) and humanitarian outreach projects serving at-risk populations worldwide. Together, they will identify new opportunities and build upon existing efforts to address oral health inequities locally and globally, creating greater impact.

The 2026 GOHLI program strengthens the strategic leadership skills of emerging global oral health leaders. This partnership will help the GOHLI program develop and strengthen its cross-sector network of oral health leaders, changemakers, experts and entrepreneurs. Additionally, it will focus on expanding humanitarian oral health care and outreach by identifying communities with gaps where services, people and resources are needed the most. The College will provide Colgate-Palmolive with the opportunity to work with its global network of Fellows and oral health advocates, enabling deeper collaboration and shared expertise.

Dr. Matilde Hernández González, an ICD Fellow who serves as the Global Senior Director of Professional Engagement and Scientific Affairs at Colgate-Palmolive, shared the following regarding the partnership:

“At Colgate-Palmolive, our purpose is to reimagine a healthier future for all. We are proud to support the ICD because of our shared commitment to supporting oral health. By partnering with the ICD global network, we are empowering the next generation of dental leaders to deliver sustainable, evidence-based solutions that improve the well-being of communities worldwide.”

By combining the College’s grassroots global reach with Colgate’s oral health leadership, this collaboration aims to raise visibility for oral health challenges, amplify the work of dental professionals worldwide and accelerate progress toward equitable access to care. ICD looks forward to the meaningful impact this partnership will create and to the new pathways it will open for advancing oral health for all.
