Collaborative Efforts Underway for First Global Fundraising Appeal

In January, the College launched its first global-wide capital fundraising campaign, “Building a Legacy of Impact,” to help pursue the College’s long-term strategic priorities and secure a financially viable future. Thanks to the generous commitments and gifts from industry partners and ICD leaders around the world early in the campaign, the campaign has raised $1.2 million.

The success of this campaign will strengthen the international community of ICD Fellows, expand support for humanitarian oral health initiatives and dental education, enhance the value of fellowship through technology, and more sustainably support the core functions and programming of the organization. “As we began rolling the campaign out over the past several months, the response from ICD global and Section leaders dramatically exceeded our expectations,” said Campaign Co-Chair Joe Kenneally.

Already, the campaign has increased engagement between ICD Sections and the Global Headquarters, paving the way for more collaborative and impactful relationships.

The campaign goal is $2 million to support four key initiatives:

  • Enhancing the value of Fellowship
  • The Global Visionary Fund (GVF) humanitarian and educational programs
  • The Global Oral Health Leadership Institute (GOHLI)
  • A Strategic Financial Reserve Fund

“I have chosen to help lead the Building a Legacy of Impact Campaign because it is a tremendous honor to be an ICD Fellow. We are one family in ICD. Supporting the campaign is an investment in our humanitarian work,” offered Campaign Co-Chair Hsin-Cheng “Leo” Liu.

Later this month, ICD Global will invite every Fellow around the world to support the College’s ongoing mission and objectives through this global campaign. We hope you will support this important initiative in a way that is meaningful to you and reinforces your commitment to the mission of the International College of Dentists.
