The International College of Dentists is thrilled to announce that a record-breaking $45,000 has been awarded to 18 exceptional dental students through the ICD-WUDAA Scholarship Program in 2025. This achievement also includes a cumulative 24% percent of scholarships awarded to U.S. dental students from outside the country since the program’s inception. Fellows residing outside the United States are invited to apply on behalf of deserving international students who are registered full time students in U.S. dental schools.
Each $2,500 award helps reduce the financial burden of dental education, enabling student recipients to focus on academic excellence, leadership and service to their communities. Launched in 2019 with just three scholarships, the ICD-WUDAA Scholarship Program has grown significantly thanks to the generosity of its donors.
This year’s awards were made possible through the Global Visionary Fund (GVF), including support from the Dr. Herbert K. Yee Foundation; the Washington University Dental Alumni Association (WUDAA); and the ICD USA Section Foundation, which funded 14 of the scholarships including one in honor of the late USA Fellow Dr. I. Leon Aronson.
Together, these partners have enabled the program to reach its largest number of recipients yet, underscoring a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of dental humanitarians and leaders.
