2021 Guatemala Dental Outreach

ICD Fellows helped facilitate a successful five-day outreach project in April of 2021 that provided dental treatment, education and oral hygiene products to 90 school children at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin (UFM) in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The project focused on dental treatment now for a cavity-free community in the future. Residents and students of the UFM School of Dentistry performed most of the treatments. Participating in the mission were ICD Fellows Luis Grisolia, Regent of Guatemala/Central America, Estuardo Mata, Regent of Guatemala/Central America, Luis Suarez and Estuardo Zacrisson, as well as some of the university’s pediatric dental leaders.
