Many of you may already have visited London, but there is always something new to see. he Dictionary of the English Language, said: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can aford”. 62nd Annual Conference Our conference hotel will be he Royal Horseguards Hotel with other hotels available in Trafalgar Square and next to the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank. he aim is that as many of the conference venues as possible will be within comfortable walking distance. he welcome reception and dinner will be at the Middle Temple Hall in one of the Inns of Court, where barristers and other senior members of the legal profession have their chambers (oices). he scientiic day will be held at the Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace, followed by a boat trip in the evening and dinner on the South Bank. Saturday morning will give you an opportunity to see senior members of the Royal Family at the Trooping of the Colour with a Royal Air Force lypast up the Mall. Delegates will be able to apply for tickets by ballot in January and February of 2017, though applicants should be aware that the availability of tickets is very limited. Board of Regents Meeting he Board of Regents of the European Section met during the Section’s 61st Anniversary Meeting in Milan on June 30th, and in Paris on November 19th. he Board discussed and made decisions for all the regular administrative business of the Section. Following the decisions of the International Council in October 2015 in Dublin, the Board prioritized the growth and development of the Section. Ater a long discussion and because of the Section’s nature involving 36 diferent countries, it was decided to ask each District to appoint a Membership Committee, which will help the Regent and Vice Regents to identify deserving dentists within each District to be invited for fellowship, and equally important, to promote actions within the District to retain its active Fellows throughout the years. he Board felt that this will facilitate better the growth and development of the Section since it will aim for the growth and development of each District. Another issue that was successfully completed was the change of the Phillip Dear Foundation to a charitable organization, thanks to the eforts of our Section’s Treasurer Dr. Hendrik Donker.
