chelsea will update Turn to pages 12-15 to read the highlights of the upcoming Centennial celebrations and visit the Centennial website, icd100.org, throughout the year for frequent updates. The review of The Council features many of our leadership initiatives, while Section Reports highlight the wonderful variety of activities in every College jurisdiction, including expanding our reach to under-served populations. Of course, last fall’s Vatican audience with Pope Francis was an unparalleled event in the history of the College. It was a unique privilege to represent the College along with Councilor Mauro Labanca and talk face-to face with one of the most recognized and influential individuals in the world about ICD values and missions. What an amazing moment for the College with the event simultaneously witnessed by thousands in St. Peter’s square and broadcast to millions more around the world on television and via the internet. The Impact! segment utilizes photojournalism to bring to life the dramatic influence that Fellows’ contributions and on-site participation have on the recipients of ICD’s humanitarian and educational missions. Not surprisingly, the College Office receives more submissions than we are able to publish. Please view our projects map at www.icd.org/projects2-/ for a full listing of ICD initiatives. I hope you will enjoy and be inspired by our award-winning Journal as we all look forward to an unlimited potential for our College in the next 100 years. As always, your e-mailed comments and suggestions are very much welcome.
