Elect Drew Smith, Vice President Heinz Scherle and Registrar Gor- don Thompson. Gordon also ac- cepted the appointment of Trea- surer. Past Section II President Ian Doyle is continuing his dedication to ICD by stepping into the Interna- tional Councilor’s position vacated by Fellow Donna Brode. I must mention how the use of Zoom technology allows us to meet to discuss business matters in a timely manner rather than having to wait on returned emails or until the annual board meeting. This is much more efficient and makes the an- nual board meeting run smoother. Convocation and Awards At the convocation banquet that evening, 50 new Fellows were in- ducted into the ICD Canadian Sec- tion. Congratulations to Life Fellow Bill MacInnis, who was awarded the Presidential Citation for his long list of accomplishments, and to Frank Bevilacqua and Rafi Mohammed, who were awarded Honorary Fel- lowships for their good works in pro- moting the profession of dentistry. Congratulations to now Past President Cliff Swanlund, President Patti Grassick, President Section II CANADA The Canadian Section’s large class of inductees and steady growth in the past four years prove their recruitment strategies are effective. Past President Swanlund also presented a pic- ture he had painted for each of the families of a Winnipeg scene with “Thank you Bob from ICD Canada” hidden in one picture and “Thank you Allan from ICD Canada” hidden in the other. We will miss Fellows Bob and Allan Baker and their con- tributions to ICD Section II Canada.
