TANZANIA BRIDGE2AID’S DENTAL TRAINING PROGRAM was supported by a donation of supplies from the ICD Global Visionary Fund and Henry Schein grant program. The program took place in Tanzania, September 11-25, 2018. During the mission, 12 rural health workers were trained in emergency dental treatment and approximately 1,000 patients were treated. Bridge2Aid has been training rural- based health workers in EastAfrica for over 14 years, providing the necessary skills, equipment and resources for emergency dental care. Current statistics estimate 70% of East Africa’s population has no access to the basic dental care. The stated mission of Bridge2Aid is to provide everyone with access to emergency dental care and to create a world free from dental pain.
